Bar Council against admitting foreign lawyers
The event was held yesterday at PICC Putrajaya Malaysia where all judges of the Federal Courts, Appeal Courts, High Courts, SAR, Magistrates, Legal Officers, AG, DG of MACC, Deputy IGP, AG Chambers Seniors Officers from its various division, BC President, Sabah & Sarawak Law Association President, Singapore & Brunei Law Society President.Opening speech was delivered by CJ and a talk was delivered by the former Lord President Tun Hamid who gaves his speeches spontaniously and lively on his experiences since joining the legal services as magistrate just few days before the 1969 riots. It is a good mixture of everybody in the profession that attended but bear in mind that I m not talking about Islamic banking here, just the legal profession big day i.e. the launching of the Legal Year 2010 that is being planned to be held annually, InsyaAllah.
