Dunia Patut Fahami Erti Sebenar Di Sebalik Gegak Gempita Sambutan Tahun Baru 2011

Setiap kali tibanya hujung tahun maka sibuklah kita dengan pelbagai persiapan menyambut ketibaan tahun baru. Bagi yang berada, menyambut kedatangan tahun baru di luar negara serentak dengan percutian musim sejuk walaupun para warga Eropah sibuk melarikan diri mereka dari cuaca sejuk di negara mereka sendiri dengan bercuti ke Malaysia., Thailand, Indonesia, Singapura dll
Apa yang kita sambut sebenarnya?
Pelbagai fakta dan intrepretasi yang boleh kita perolehi mengenai latar belakang bulan bulan Januari sehingga Disember. Namun ,cukuplah sekadar disebut secara ringkas buat renungan kita semua.
Ketibaan tahun baru tuhan tuhan Roman yang akan berulang kali kita sebut setiap bulan pada tahun berikutnya nanti secara sengaja mahupun tak sengaja.
Contohnya bulan Januari mendapat namanya dari Tuhan Janus yang juga dikenali sebagai 'Sky God '. Untuk menyambut ketibaan sky god atau tuhan langit atau tuhan janus atau tuhan january maka dicerahkan langit seluruh dunia dengan bunga api.
Bulan Februari pula berasal dari februa yang membawa maksud "means of purification."
Manakala bulan Mac iaitu Martius berasal dari Mars yang membawa makna sebagai 'Tuhan Peperangan Roman' (the Roman God of War)
Untuk bulan April ada beberapa pendapat termasuk salah satunya dari Jakob Grimm yang mengatakan nama bulan April berasal dari ' a god or hero named Aper or Aprus'
Seterusnya nama bulan Mei atau Maius berasal dari Tuhan Wanita yang bernama Maia dan Julius Ceasar memilih untuk menamakan dirinya sendiri bagi nama bulan Julai.
Jadi tidak hairanlah perangai anak anak bangsa kita menjadi terlampau liar sewaktu menyambut tahun baru kerana mereka tidak menyedari yang mereka sedang menyambut tahun baru Tuhan Tuhan agama lain.
Merempit, mabuk, pembaziran makanan/minuman,hiburan keterlaluan semuanya membawa kepada keuntungan berlipat ganda golongan peniaga namun secara langsung membawa kepada banyak masalah masalah sosial yang tidak di ingini oleh negara kita.
Meriahnya cuti umum tahun baru telah di salah faham oleh banyak golongan yang sepatutnya perlu membuat sedikit kajian apa itu erti 'holy day'—iaitu hari suci kepada penganut agama tertentu. Justru tak hairan lah mengapa ramai antara kita yang menjadi malas pada hari cuti umum dan membiarkan orang lain yang mengaut keuntungan bila mereka memilih untuk bersuka ria, bersantai santai, berhibur pada waktu cuti umum.
Apakah 1 hb Januari adalah hari suci(Holy Day) bagi kebanyakkan kita yang beragama Islam? Banyak aktiviti berfaedah yang lebih produktif dapat dilakukan sempena cuti umum tahun baru selain dari berseronok seronok. Memenuhi pasaraya diwaktu cuti umum semata mata membeli barangan yang tak perlu perlu difikirkan semula bersama.

Seterusnya,adalah lebih malang lagi bila malam cuti tahun baru Maal Hijrah/Awal Muharam juga tiada bezanya yang biasanya turut digunakan untuk merempit & merewang rewang hingga ke Subuh tanpa arah tujuan.


Berita TV3 jam 130 tghari pada 25hb Disember 2007 menunjukkan kesan sambutan salah satu 'holy day' sempena sambutan Krismas di Jalan Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur dengan lautan sampah serta paparan anak anak muda kita bersuka ria tanpa mengendahkan pekerja pekerja Alam Flora yang sibuk membersihkan sampah sarap.dengan kesesakan lalu lintas di Jalan P Ramlee yang berlaku akibat meletak kereta sesuka hati oleh mereka mereka yang meraikan malam cuti umum pada lewat tghmalam/awal pagi 25hb Disember 2007. Adalah lebih elok saranan ramai agar nama Jalan P Ramlee di tukarkan ke Jalan yang lebih sesuai bagi memelihara nama baik seniman agung kita. Mungkinkah negara kita terlalu canggih sehingga menamakan Jalan P Ramlee di tempat yang penuh dengan pelbagai aktiviti kurang sihat terutamanya selepas tengah malam yang dapat ditonton secara terang terang oleh pengguna jalanraya? Niat menghargai seniman agung kita perlu dilaksanakan dengan lebih serius bukan sekadar melepas batuk di tangga semata mata tanpa mengambil kira faktor penghormatan berterusan kepada Tan Sri P Ramlee.
Allah swt telah mengejutkan dunia pada 26hb Disember 2004 dengan membawa Tsunami ke Aceh, Phuket, Langkawi, Kuala Muda , Balik Pulau dan lain lain tempat di serata dunia termasuk hingga ke benua Afrika yang telah menyebabkan YAB Perdana Menteri ketika itu mengarahkan supaya sambutan tahun baru 2005 dibatalkan walaupun ketika itu di sekitar Jalan Bukit Bintang ramai yang 'ketegaq' dan meneruskan pesta tahun baru dengan memancutkan buih buih serta minuman keras sebagaimana yang disiarkan oleh kebanyakkan media elektronik & cetak awal Januari 2005 . Tidak cukupkah pengajaran yang kita perlu ingat dari Tsunami, masihkah orang kita 'galak' nak menyambut tahun baru pelbagai tuhan tuhan Roman.
Sebuah telemovie awal tahun 90an berjudul ' Selamat Tahun Baru YB' lakonan Seniman Datuk Rahim Razali, Uji Rashid bersama Abu Bakar Omar dimana Datuk Rahim Razali sebagai YB Menteri telah meminta isterinya yang dilakunkan oleh Seniwati Uji Rashid yang beria-ia hendak menjemput tetamu menyambut pesta tahun baru supaya di gantikan dengan majlis tahlil kenduri doa selamat bagi menyambut majlis hari jadi YB Menteri yg kebetulan jatuh pada tahun baru. Namun, harus diingati yang sebarang majlis bacaan Yasin dan doa semata mata untuk menyambut tahun baru tuhan tuhan roman amatlah tidak sesuai sekali memandangkan ianya lebih tepat hanya dilakukan sewaktu menyambut Awal Muharram iaitu tahun baru umat Islam.

Bagi keberkatan berterusan punca Rezeki yang kita semua cari secara Halal, sudah tiba masanya untuk semua kita untuk turut menggunakan nama nama bulan dalam Taqwim kita seperti Muharram (Bulan Pertama Tahun Hijrah), Safar (Bulan kedua Tahun Hijrah), Rabiul Awwal (Bulan Ketiga Tahun Hijrah), Rabiul Akhir (Bulan Ke empat Tahun Hijrah) , Jumada Awwal (Bulan Ke Lima Tahun Hijrah), Jumada Akhir (Bulan Ke Enam Tahun Hijrah), Rajab (Bulan Ke Tujuh Tahun Hijrah), Sha'ban (Bulan Ke Lapan Tahun Hijrah), Ramadhan(Bulan Ke Sembilan Tahun Hijrah), Syawal (Bulan Ke Sepuluh Tahun Hijrah), Dzul Qaedah (Bulan Ke Sebelas Tahun Hijrah) dan Dzul Hijjah (Bulan Ke Dua Belas Tahun Hijrah)
Kita juga seharusnya lebih teliti dalam menggunakan terma terma seperti 'Holy Day' (hari suci), 'Calendar' ( dimana Hari Kalends adalah permulaan bulan baru yang di dedikasikan kepada Juno Tuhan Wanita Utama Roman Pantheon )
bagi keberkatan & kesejahteraan semua lebih lebih lagi Malaysia yang beraspirasi untuk menjadi sebuah 'global hub for Islamic Banking' dimana kepekaan terhadap elemen elemen ini akan amat dihargai oleh ahli ahli korporat & pelabur dari Timur Tengah. Kita seharusnya nampak ikhlas bila cuba membawa 'petrol dollars' dari Timur Tengah yang berjumlah dalam bentuk Trillion USD serta peka pada apa yang sepatutnya kita peka supaya kita benar benar dapat merasai faedah pelaburan FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) Timur Tengah di rantau ini dan bukan sekadar tempias .
Apakah sungguh benar kata kata Perdana Menteri ke 4, Yg Bhg Tun Dr Mahathir, 'Melayu Mudah Lupa', mengambil kira penderitaan rakyat Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestin, Bangladesh & Sudan. Mercun mercun serta bunga api tahun baru yang diletupkan di negara makmur seperti negara kita sebenarnya digantikan oleh bom bom pembunuh di Palestin, Afghanistan, Iraq dll . Daging daging BBQ dan pelbagai makanan yang masih elok lebihan sisa sambutan tahun baru yang terbuang ke dalam tong sampah disini menjadi satu pengkhianatan pada Rezeki bila melihatkan berita TV3 di Bangladesh minggu lalu dimana sebiji roti terpaksa di kongsi ramai rakyatnya. Yg Bhg Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was invited to give a keynote address to the delegates coming from every corner of the globe with the presence of President of the IDB and YAB Kedah Menteri Besar.

Summary of what Tun Dr M said while comparing conventional and Islamic banks in light of the global financial crisis:-

1) Bank lend money that they dont have.
2) Bank should therefore be able to create money.
3) Bank assume majority of its customers who deposited their money will not immediately use the money--possibly only 10% would have immediate usage of their savings and 90% will keep therefore banks are able to lend money with the deposits that they took from the customers.
4)If they lend everything, bank will be in trouble if not enough money--normally would need govt support. " In a democratic system, If govt doesnt deliver, govt will loose election"
5) Recently Federal Reserve Bank created USD 600 Billion--they created the money, need not print USD 600 billion--just signing cheques.
6) Those days --early days in Malaysia 'Bank Notes' --notes that were printed and issued by the banks that were regarded as currencies.
7) Those days also--British didnt allow local banks to be set up.
8) Therefore, Islamic Countries are unable to grow because have no money and dont have access to money and cannot develop while western countries grow and developed.
9) Thus for a long time there was no Islamic Banking.
10) But around second half of last centuries, Muslims become very rich-Allah swt granted oil. Initially, coz they were not smart--got paid only 20 cent per barrel that were selling at USD 2 per barrels.

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 1 (Bernama) -- Governments should consider the use of the gold dinar to stop a currency war, says Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

He said the US dollar depreciation created problems for countries as they needed to devalue their currencies in order to overcome the loss of competitiveness.

"If every country devalues its currency, there will be a currency war and, of course, it will contribute to the crisis," he told reporters after delivering a keynote address at the First World Conference on Riba here Monday.

Mahathir said gold has an intrinsic value and is therefore a better measure of value than currency notes.

"Currency notes have no backing unless it is sought after by people. If countries start to devalue their currencies, there will be chaos in international trade," he said.

On Islamic banking, Mahathir said financial institutions must be careful when introducing new products so as not to duplicate those already offered by conventional banks.

He said Islamic financial institutions should adhere to Islamic banking principles even when there is an opportunity for them to take over the responsibility of conventional banking.

1431 Hijrah: The Alternative

Alhamdulillah its already 20th day in the month of Muharram the year 1431 Hijrah. My esteemed firm has been developing a small but practical model of Islamic banking that can InsyaAllah works as it is should be.
Besides the basic simple operations side, we have also developed legal documentations that use no legal devices thus our model is sufficient for us to start it in small scale initially. Any goverment that can issue suitable type of Islamic banking license and any govermental or corporate sectors that can jointly provide the capitals are welcome but bearing in mind that these papers moneys will in our hand be ultimately transformed into gold dinar and silver dirham notwithstanding the fact that at present gold and silver are legally treated as commodities and not medium of exchange.(thus upon mutual consent ,we will begin with a very limited customers based but quality customers)
